SCI論文英文寫作時，數字的使用規則是怎樣的？

在論文寫作過程中，經常會使用數字。數字要用單詞表示，還是用阿拉伯數字表示是很多論文作者困惑的地方。數字寫作方式雖說是細節，但也足以影響論文的質量。醫刊彙整理了幾條英語數字使用規則，供大家參考使用。

1、英美等國的出版社在排版時遵循一條原則，即1至10用單詞表示，10以上的數目用阿拉伯數字（也有的以100為界限），這條原則值得我們借鑑。

例：That table measures ten feet by five。

2、如果數字並列出現，那麼無論數字是否小於10，最好能保持一致。

例：She has fourbrothers aged 5， 7 ，12， and 15。

3、句子開頭的數字要拼寫出來

例：Twenty-three hundred sixty-two victims were injured。

4、遇到日期、百分比、帶單位的特殊數字，通常用阿拉伯數字。

例：Maximum swivel of table is l20。

5、數字21到99之間的數字，應該用連線號連線起來

例：Forty-three people were injured in the train wreck。

6、遇到分數，可用帶連字元的單詞表示。

例：At 1east two-thirds of the class have had colds。

7、如果涉及的數目和單位是不定數，可用單詞表示。

例：about five miles per hour（每小時大約5英里）

8、時間一般用數字表示。

例：The flightleaves at 6：22 a。m。

9、大數字用最簡單的表達。

例如： twenty-threehundred （simpler than two thousand three hundred）

10、小數寫成數字

例：The plant grew 0。91 inches last year。

11、四位或者以上數字，使用逗號。每3位數字使用一個逗號，但小數點以後的數字不包括在內。

例：1，054 people

12、年代用數字時，在數字前加撇號，或在s前加撇號。

例：During the 80s and 90s， the U。S。 economy grew。

13、在科技論文中，數字頻繁出現，用阿拉伯數字比用單詞陳述更有利。

例：The new engine has a capacity of 4。3 litres and a power output of 153 kilowatts at 4400 revolutions per minute。
