“因為”只會“because”？至少還有8種地道表達~

1. owing to

Owing to the tutor‘s help， he has made rapid progress。

因為他的老師的幫助，他進步很快。

2. thanks to

Thanks to the angle at which Jane stood， she could just see the sunset。

由於站的位置視角好，Jane 剛好能看見日落。

3. as a result of

Millions of people are threatened by starvation as a result of drought and poor harvests。

數百萬的人因乾旱和歉收而受到飢餓的威脅。

4. due to

The little girl began to cry due to the thunder。

那個小女孩因為打雷而哭了起來。

5. in virtue of

He was highly praised in virtue of his brave deeds。

他因為見義勇為而受到了大力表揚。

6. in that

I’m lucky in that I‘ve got three sisters。

我很幸運，因為我有3個姐姐。

7. on account of

He was very scared on account of darkness。

因為天黑，他非常害怕

8. since

I’m forever on a diet， since I put on weight easily 。

我永遠都在減肥，因為我很容易長胖。
