明月何皎皎，照我羅床幃。

憂愁不能寐，攬衣起徘徊。

客行雖雲樂，不如早旋歸。

出戶獨彷徨，愁思當告誰！

引領還入房，淚下沾裳衣。

秦大川 譯：

Bright， bright is the moonbeam；

On my silk bed curtain it doth shine。

Sadness keeps me from falling asleep；

I get dressed to walk and pine。

Though I can make merry on the journey，

Early return weighs heavy on my mind。

Out of the gate I pace listlessly。

To whom should I nostalgia confide？

To stay far away yearning for thee，

I shed tears in an unbroken line。
