惡魔通訊--我畫你猜象形字

我的前任老大科林老爺子是個研究埃及象形文字的翹楚，用他自己的話來說，‘’我可是個妙人‘’。原話太臭屁太欠打，也只能翻譯著來看。不過每次玩兒Draw Something（我畫你猜）都要用古埃及象形文字來充數，也的確做實了欠打的資格。後來我細分了專業定向跑去克里特研究米諾斯，偶爾還能在內網上看見學妹（單數）和學弟們（複數）的深情吶喊：‘’小測咱能不用象形文字寫姓名麼親愛的科林大大（瀑布淚）。‘’

得到的官（yi）方（jia）回（zhi）復（yan）是：‘’至少考卷上沒要求象形作答就算我慈悲為懷了。‘’

秉承家師的風格，古埃及象形文字的字母表其實挺簡單的（如果忽略書寫和發音難度的話，簡直和英語字母表一樣簡單），高階大氣上檔次，是把妹裝酷鎮場面的不二之選（這個是兒童彩圖科普入門版本，右下角是簡略的計量表達法）：

讀音我就不po了，全交付給知乎，我還吃什麼。

如果單純的用英語語言的方法來演義古埃及象形文字字母表其實也不是不可以，雖然因為構詞法的不同會有點兒不倫不類，但是拼名字還是可以的，比如說科林老爺子給他家金孫愛德華就找到了這樣的reference：

因為“給我孫子起名字的時候想到了這個就順便用上了‘’。

再比如說，‘’我的同期埃及旅行歸來給他女兒Becca和Alyssa的手信，你們感受下’‘（他同期的FB上寫的是：“俺用古埃及象形文字給倆閨女翻譯了名字，心～”）：

當然，為了“增加學科的趣聞性“，科林老爺子會推薦一些’‘不是那麼古老的”畫謎（rebus，也就是一種異於古代的象形文字，多用發音相近的圖畫來代替需要表達的文字，比如俺侄兒不會寫‘但是‘這兩個字就會畫一個’雞蛋‘和一個’西紅柿‘來代替）

當作業，一個20分

雖然翻譯是件很欲哭無淚的活，可以好歹比每天畫象形文字的強。

第一次的翻譯作業是普通難度的’惡魔通訊’，寫於1779年。

從第一行的抬頭可以看出是魔鬼寫給Lord N-th：

原文翻譯如下：

其實可以開兩個頁面的我就是用這種笨辦法寫作業的我會亂說嘛～）

之後是一封寫於1710年的情詩回覆：

當時全班（好吧其實這一屆也就勉強只能湊夠一個班）沒有全譯對的，所以老爺子杖責八十後釋出了全文如下：

“Glorious lady， Your rebus deciphered does inform that benign stars ordain happiness， to recompense noble flames。 Your heart shall be mine I understand you well。 Those eyes assure what your tongue should utter， belie not your sole， or I undermine your heart： maids madden［？］ refuse but take it。 Madam believe your fortune made； my income can bear a coach and six， which all the world knows。 When wedlock joins hands then O！ for your beauty。 Your loving obedient meanest servant， signed， sealed， delivered before Henry Smith。”

右下角的Henry Smith，要這麼看：

。。。 bee-4-hen-smith，當時沒有考慮到到’before‘，還以為是hen-cricket-smith， 長殼的蟲子都一個樣兒，哪有蜜蜂畫得跟果蠅似的，這必須得私下發牢騷。

什麼？delivered那詞畫的是什麼沒看懂？ 喔，那個是肝（liver）， 沒看圖前面還有個‘De’麼？

我們的怨氣無法上達天聽，以至於後來跟現任老大訴苦時得來了這一張畫謎，這位一米八胸肌至少得戴調整型內衣的佛羅倫薩壯漢含羞帶怯滿臉憤懣：“科林老爺子連同行也不放過的嚶嚶嚶嚶。” 嘖，人艱不拆，上圖：

我沒有問到這首義大利情詩的譯作，勉強根據《宴飲篇》（我這麼說是為了加持逼格）對大佬這樣解讀道：

’善妒的（stone的。。。無節操港版音譯？）丘位元喜歡對自己的戰利品做標記（ring），

當他看見擁有彼此的雙方結合在一起就要劈成兩半收為己用，

因為丘位元的這種行為，我們窮其一生都要跋涉找尋原本屬於自己的那一半，

直到我們找到那個手腳冰涼的折翼天使，溫暖他（帶手套），

像寶蓮燈傳唱的那樣，為他翻山越嶺，卻無心看風景，

趁其不備用這樣那樣的手段勾住他，用雙保險勾住他，直到一起建立一個城邦。‘

解讀完畢，大佬眉頭緊鎖咬唇沉思良久，抬眼問了我三個問題：

天使為甚手腳冰涼？

寶蓮燈是啥？

這次考試還想及格麼？
