警察找到錢包問你裡面有什麼東西，你說： “There should be some money and a credit card， among others。”

“Among others” 意思是 “錢包裡還有一些你沒有提到的東西”

如果你說：

”是事實的陳詞， 那麼意思是沒有其他東西，便是錯誤。

2。 “There

some money and a credit card， among others”， “

are

”是事實的陳詞，假如有人拾到錢包拿去現金，那麼警察拾到的錢包沒有錢，那麼你說 “

are

”便是錯誤，可能警察會懷疑錢包到底是不是你的。

換一下這樣說也是對的：“When I lost my wallet， there

were

some money and a credit card， among others” 用 “

were

” 是說失掉錢包時的實況，預防得回的錢包東西不齊全。
