服裝 由如視角 - 2017大都會博物館 Met Gala 展覽預告 - 川久保玲Art of the In-Between
早在去年10月，大都會藝術博物館宣佈了2017年Met Gala慈善晚宴和服裝研究院展覽的主題為“Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons： Art of the In-Between”。今天，距離5月4日展覽開幕還有幾周的時間，我們就先來看看這次的展覽有哪些值得期待的亮點吧。
Met Gala，又稱Met Ball，是由紐約大都市藝術博物館時裝館每年舉辦的慈善晚宴舞會， Met Gala從1971年開始舉辦，為了慶祝每年特殊的主題的展覽開幕，同時為時裝館籌集捐款。Met Gala於每年的5月初舉行，是時尚界最隆重的晚會，每年的慈善晚會紅毯部分都被譽為“時尚界的奧斯卡”，而每期的主題都讓人期待不已。
在宣佈今年主題時，大都會藝術博物館服裝研究院館長Andrew Bolton這樣評價道川久保玲“她是過去40年來最重要也是最有影響力的設計師之一。她邀請我們去重新審視時尚，一個作為不停創作，再創作，不斷進化的領域。她定義了我們這個時代的美學。”
Rei Kawakubo也是繼Yves Saint Laurent於1983年在大都會藝術博物館展出後，第二位能夠獲此殊榮的在世設計師。川久保玲絕對是一位在行業擁有絕對影響力的設計師，而且擁有非常多的擁護者，但她的設計卻完全有別於Saint Laurent的性感吸菸裝。
回想川久保玲在1981年的第一場秀，她用垂墜的暗色廓形，對平常面料的精心創作和她對傳統觀念的激烈挑戰震驚了整個時尚界。她的那些誇張的巨大肩部造型和迪斯科般的戲劇化元素統治了整個80年代秀場。

到90年代，川久保玲更加突破自我，開始直接地毫不妥協地探索身體與衣著之間的關係。可能大家也注意到，最近Vogue Runway對Comme des Garçons從1991年以來的舊系列陸續地重新做了評論。對將近25年前的設計重新做出評論本來就是一件很有趣的事情，因為你必須脫離當下流行的束縛，從設計師的個人發展和品牌理念角度去分析和評價，這樣的評價，看到的是時尚的本質，而不是流行。

整場展覽將包含120套川久保玲為Commedes Garçons 設計的女裝，從該品牌於1981年的第一場秀一直到她最新的作品。這些作品將按照幾個不同的主題陳列：東方/西方，男性/女性，過去/現在，這也正好印證了川久保玲的時尚魔力：“in-betweenness”。同時，這次展覽將不再使用玻璃或任何阻隔，讓觀眾可以毫無障礙的感受川久保玲的作品。
